Casa del Ciliegio is a small villa located in the medieval village of Badolato, in the region of Calabria in southern Italy.  It is a newly revitalized villa that was built approximately 400 years ago.  The refurbishment has been done with great attention to the local heritage and architecture, while meeting the owner's individual taste.  Casa del Ciliegio is built on three levels.   Downstairs it has two bedrooms that sleep six.   One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and two twins;  the other has a queen bed.   Each has its own bath with a shower and there is another 1/2 bath off the kitchen.
On the main floor, the living room has a terrace that looks out on a 17th century convent and a balcony that overlooks citrus and olive groves.   Cozy evenings can be spent in front of the gas fireplace or enjoying the pleasant weather on the terrace.
The kitchen is located on the top floor.  It has a dining table that seats six as well as a full complement of appliances, including a microwave  and dishwasher.  In addition, there is a combination  washer/dryer in the 1/2 bath.  There is another terrace off the kitchen that overlooks the  olive and citrus orchards and the Ionian Sea.  The doors to the terrace can be folded back on themselves, opening up the kitchen to the terrace for larger groups to dine and enjoy the views.  After a busy day spent touring or at the beach, guests can toast the sunset from either terrace with locally produced wine and cheese.
